i’m not saying bucky should spend most of cap 3 crying and kissing steve, but i am saying they’d be smart to play to sebastian stan’s strengths

PRODUCTION NOTES: RUSSEL T DAVIES TAKES US BEHIND THE SCENES.
BETWEEN THE LINES
THE THINGS YOU DON’T WRITE.
Now that I’m knee-deep in Series Four scripts, I’ve been thinking about this a lot; the things you plant to put into scripts, that never make the page. I don’t mean scenes deleted from a draft, or in the edit, I mean the things you never end up saying. No matter how long you might have nutured them!
For example, way back in Series One, in the episode World War Three, The Ninth Doctor said that Harriet Jones was destined for three terms as Prime Minister. "Britain’s Golden Age!". But then, in The Christmas Invasion, he toppled her, after only one term. And that, in my mind, allowed a gap in which the Master could enter history and subvert it, as Harry Saxon. Just a little schism in that neverending flux of Time, ready to be exploited by his Mastery. Except, I never said any of this.
